A capital raise is usually run across four systems: a data room, a CRM, an email client and a spreadsheet someone updates on Friday. Each holds part of the record, and none knows when the others change. Running the raise as one project in one place does not just save the Friday spreadsheet. It means the deal, the investors, the outreach and the signed documents describe the same raise, and the compliance archive receives all of it.
1. Start From the Data Room
In Kavanah's Deal Room, create the deal, link its data-room folder and run the data-room analyzer. It reads the documents and drafts the deal's investment profile and a set of insights, and it keeps an insight only when the quote behind it is found in the text of the named file and every number in the insight appears in that quote. A restated figure that nobody can trace back to a page is dropped rather than repeated to investors.
2. Work the Investor List in Tranches
Start an investor campaign and Kavanah ranks investor firms against the profile and releases them in tranches, so the team works the strongest fits first. Linked contacts can be enrolled in an outreach cadence. Each step is a scheduled email: it stops when the contact replies, it skips anyone on the workspace's suppression list, and under compliance mode it carries the archive BCC. Per-deal investor status lets the same person be 'Warm' across the firm and 'Committed' on one deal.
3. Close Into the Filing Deadline
Send subscription documents for signature through the XDocs integration from the deal itself, so each signature lands on the right deal; envelope sends are journaled for the archive. Then put the filing on the plan. The SEC says a company must file a Form D notice within 15 days after the first sale of securities in the offering, the first sale being the day the first investor becomes irrevocably contractually committed. Add a task due 15 days after the first signed subscription, with your counsel as reviewer.
4. Keep the Spreadsheet if You Must
If partners still live in a Google Sheet, Kavanah can import a pipeline from a sheet tab and mirror the Deal Room back to a separate tab, never the source tab. The forecast is computed from your stages' baseline probabilities with no model call, so it does not invent momentum the data does not show.
