Desktop & Mobile Apps

Kavanah runs in the browser, as a native Mac app, as an iPhone and iPad app, and as Android and Windows betas. Every app signs in to the same account and shows the same workspaces. Everything is linked from kavanah.ai/download, which highlights the right download for the device you open it on.

Mac

A native Mac app for macOS 15 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel. It is signed and notarized by Apple.
System notifications, a Dock badge with your unread count, and updates that install in the background.
A menu bar item with unread counts for Messages, Notifications, My Tasks and Inbox, plus New Task… and Ask AI… shortcuts.
Plans, credits and auto top-up can be managed in the Mac app, as on the web.
On macOS 11 to 14, use the classic Mac app instead. It wraps the web app in a native window.

iPhone & iPad (beta)

A native app for iOS, distributed through a public TestFlight link.
Push notifications.A new chat message, a mention, a booking or an escalation shows a banner and updates the app badge. Tapping a push opens the message or task it is about, in the workspace it belongs to. Pushes respect a thread's mute setting, chat Do Not Disturb and your quiet hours.
Safari on an iPhone cannot receive web push. Until the app is installed, an iPhone gets no Kavanah notifications.
Plan, limits, credit balance and usage are shown read-only. The app has no purchase controls.

Android (beta)

The same workspace on an Android phone, downloaded directly as an APK rather than from Google Play.
Push notifications arrive once you allow them, and the app offers its own updates when a newer build is published.

Windows (beta)

The workspace in its own window, for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
It does not update itself yet. To get a newer version, download it again.

Downloading and installing

Kavanah is not in the public App Store or Google Play yet, so searching a store for “Kavanah” will not find it. There is also no request form or waiting list. Use these links:

1iPhone / iPad: install Apple's TestFlight app from the App Store, then open https://testflight.apple.com/join/xAZ6rrNA on the device. It is a public link with no invitation and no tester cap. From a computer, scan the QR code on the download page.
2Mac: download directly from /api/desktop/download?platform=mac on the Kavanah site. Open the DMG and drag Kavanah to Applications. On macOS 11 to 14, use /api/desktop/download?platform=mac-classic, the classic Mac app.
3Windows (beta): download directly from /api/desktop/download?platform=windows. Code signing is not finished yet, so the first launch shows a SmartScreen prompt. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
4Android (beta): download the APK from /api/desktop/download?platform=android. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back and tap Install.
5Linux: there is no download yet. The web app is the full product in any modern browser.
6Sign in with your usual Kavanah account. Your workspaces and data are already there.

Every app talks to the same Kavanah service, so your data is identical everywhere. A web-app change is live in the browser right away. The native Mac and iPhone apps get new features with their own releases.
