Dev Integration

The Dev page (Sidebar → Build → Dev) brings your GitHub repositories, pull requests and commits into the same workspace as your tasks, and links each one back to the task it was for.

What syncs today

Repositories, pull requests and commits from GitHub. A pull request carries its state (draft, in review, merged or closed), branch and line counts.
Task links — a pull request or commit whose title or message names a task (fixes #123, task 123) is linked to that task.
Context Bundle — pick a task and export what Kavanah knows about it as one bundle.
CloudCode and TRMNLY — list CloudCode projects and trigger deploys, or send a task to a terminal on your Mac, once those integrations are connected.

The Deploys, Incidents, Alerts, Lineage, Code Review, AI Engineer and Spec → Tasks sections show demo data only. Kavanah has no Vercel, Sentry or Datadog connector, so in a real workspace those sections stay empty. Kavanah does not draft pull requests or write code, and CI status and reviewers are not synced.

Connecting a repo

1Open Dev and click + Connect repository. (The GitHub card under Settings → Integrations starts the same connection.)
2Choose Install GitHub App (recommended — org-wide, with webhooks) or Sign in with GitHub (for personal repos), and authorize Kavanah on GitHub.
3Back in the dialog, pick the repositories to sync. Pull requests and commits start arriving.
4…or enter owner/repo manually adds a GitHub or GitLab repository by name. A repository added this way does not sync.
5Recent pull requests and commits sync right away, and new ones arrive by webhook.

GitHub Issues sync

GitHub Issues can sync both ways with tasks — title, body and open/closed — one repository at a time. It is off by default and has no switch in the app yet: a workspace admin turns it on through the REST API (POST /api/github/issue-sync). Only issues opened or changed after that flow in; existing issues are not imported.

Tokens are stored encrypted per workspace and never shared between workspaces.
