The Deal Room

Your pipeline of record: deals moving through stages, the people attached to each, and the follow-ups keeping them warm. On the web it is the Deal Room tab under Clients.

Pipelines

Every workspace starts with one pipeline. Add more when deals follow a different funnel: each pipeline has its own stages, and a deal belongs to one pipeline. With two or more, a selector appears beside the page title, and All pipelines shows each one as its own band.

  • New pipeline (admins): name it and pick its starting stages. Standard is Interest, Verbal, Diligence, Collected and Lost. Rain Room is Prospect, Signed, Investor Interest, Closed and Referral/Testimonial. Blank has none, so add stages before creating a deal.
  • Import: bring a pipeline in from a Google Sheet or an Asana board.
  • Rename: in Manage stages. Its slug stays the same, so anything that already refers to it keeps working.
  • Delete: in Manage stages, for an empty pipeline only.
A pipeline cannot be deleted while it holds any deal, archived ones included, or while a Google Sheet link or an automation refers to it. The default pipeline and a workspace's last pipeline cannot be deleted at all.

Stages

Manage stages(admins) renames, recolours and reorders a pipeline's stages, and sets each one's default probability and stale-after days. A stage's kind decides how deals behave in it: Open stays on the board, and Won or Lost closes the deal. Keep a mid-funnel stage such as Signed as Open, even though the word sounds final.

From the agent, the API and MCP

Ask the agent to add or rename a pipeline, or call create_pipeline and update_pipeline yourself; list_pipelines shows what exists. Writes need an admin. A pipeline can be named by its id, slug or name, and a deal is never filed in a pipeline that does not match. Over REST, use /api/deals/pipelines. Deleting is available in the app and over REST, not through the agent.
